GAMEDAY IS HERE! 🏈 The Eagles are hitting the road tonight to take on Allen Academy in the Brazos Bowl and our first opportunity of the 2026–27 season! Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. We got ready for the big night with our first pep rally of the school year, and the House spirit was on full display!

Today was an exciting one at the Secondary Campus!

Students were called down, one by one, and officially placed in their House Teams: The Vanguard, The Forge, The Legion, The Beacon, The Sentinel and The Crown.

Each House has its own patron saint, identity, motto, and today, for the first time, students had the opportunity to come together with their House Family, pray together and begin building the community that will continue to grow throughout the school year.

With junior high and high school students together, each House will have opportunities to earn points throughout the year while growing in community and living out its unique identity.

We were especially grateful to have Fr. Joy bless each of our six houses as we officially begin this new chapter!

There’s nothing quite like the first day of school!

Today, we welcomed our Eagles back to campus for the beginning of our 132nd school year! As we begin this new year, we are reminded of our theme, “Make Me an Instrument,” and our call to be instruments of peace, love, mercy, faith, hope, light and joy in all that we do.

Here’s to a beautiful year of growing in mind, body and spirit.

Yesterday, our faculty and staff joined Catholic school educators from across the Diocese of Austin for the annual Convocation at St. William Catholic Parish in Round Rock.

Together, we celebrated Mass with Bishop Daniel E. Garcia, learned from Dr. Steven Cheeseman of the National Catholic Educational Association and spent time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. As we prepare to welcome our students back, we are grateful for the opportunity to grow together in faith and renew our shared commitment to Catholic education!

Today, we officially welcomed our incredible faculty and staff back to campus with Mass, fellowship, collaboration and a little friendly competition during our SJCS Teacher Olympic Games.

The games weren't just about having fun. They challenged our faculty to work together, communicate, problem-solve and live out the same core values we'll ask our students to embrace throughout the school year.

A special thank you to the Firestone Family for an incredible brunch that kept us fueled for a fantastic day together!

Five Years of Excellence in Art Education! 🏆🎨

We are proud to announce that St. Joseph Catholic School has once again been named a Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) District of Distinction, marking our fifth consecutive year receiving this prestigious honor!

Out of more than 1,200 eligible school districts and educational institutions across Texas, only 109 earned this distinction, placing SJCS among the top 8% for excellence in visual arts education. Even more remarkably, we remain the only parochial school in Texas to receive this recognition.

We are especially grateful to Ms. Lisa Urban, whose passion and leadership continue to inspire our students to grow as artists and creators
