Garrett Maliska was a senior in the Bryan High School Class of 2011.Those of you who knew him are aware that he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma during his freshman year. Against overwhelming odds, Garrett stayed on track to graduate in May and maintained a positive attitude and brave disposition throughout his fight with this disease. Garrett finished his graduation credits early and was awarded

his diploma at a small, private ceremony on February 22, 2011, before passing away on February, 28, 2011. With the Maliskas' blessing, a scholarship was created to honor Garrett's humbling, inspiring story. Please consider contributing to this scholarship to pay tribute to Garrett and further the education of future Bryan ISD graduates. Donations may be sent to Sandra Davis (c/o BISD Education Foundation, 101 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803), and checks should be made payable to "The Garrett Maliska Scholarship." As always, any amount large or small will make a difference for the recipients of these monies, and the more money we raise the longer this scholarship will be available to students.
