The February meeting of the Brazos Valley Art Education Association (BVAEA) took place on February 5, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic School in Bryan, Texas.

BVAEA President Lisa Urban shared her woven landscapes project using black and white and color images.

Make plans to join us next month on March 5, 2026 at Cypress Grove Intermediate in College Station where we'll experiment with Tinkercad to create personalized keychains to be 3D printed...you won't want to miss it!!!

The first Brazos Valley Art Education Association (BVAEA) meeting of the new year took place on January 8, 2026 at College Station High School.

BVAEA member Sara Jordan presented a lesson plan on Stained Glass with Transparency Film. She shared two different techniques for creating a faux stained glass technique…one for lower grades involving adding colored tissue to the reverse side of a drawn object, one for upper grades by adding gesso, then painting with watercolor.

The December meeting of the Brazos Valley Art Education Association took place on December 4,2025 at Bowen Elementary School. The traditional ornament making activity took place along with a gift exchange.

Members of Brazos Valley Art Education Association (BVAEA) attended the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) annual Conference in Round Rock last week.

One of the highlights of the Conference was getting to spend time with longtime member and dear friend Jackie Brewer.

Join us in celebrating the memory of Sara Chapman on Thursday, November 20th, from 7-9 pm.
