Elsie is an 8 month old mountain lion that I was lucky enough to meet yesterday. 🙏🏻 Mountain lions are typically considered a solitary animal - so licking me acts as a “peace offering” to establish trust & show good intent. You can also see her “sharing her scent” by rubbing up against me which helps create a familiar, shared scent. 🥹 I will never forget this opportunity. ❤️ What an incredible species of cat. 🐱 I’ll be sharing more about her soon!
