Katie Santangelo is a 2nd grade teacher at LES. Her daughter, Sophia, is in 2nd grader at LES. Sophia had open heart surgery when she was born. Since then she's thrived into a sweet, smart, caring little girl that loves gymnastics. At her yearly check-up this year, her family was shocked to learn Sophia's heart condition had changed drastically. She will need another open heart surgery. She had to stop all physical activities. This procedure is extremely complicated and they need all the love and support our community can provide.

THANKS to YOU, we surpassed our goal this year!! Students and staff were very excited at the book choices and it showed!! We truly appreciate your support for our bookfair!

Dance Team Tryout are this week!!!!! There will be clinic days Tuesday - Thursday. Tryouts are on Friday. BUES students will need to be driven to BMS gym. They can get out on the Athenos side toward the back by the gym. Please do not send them into the building any earlier than 3:25. Students will have time to change.

EDIT TO ADD:
Students must have a current physical (either on file with school or brought on Tuesday).

Also, students will need two teacher recommendations. The teachers at BMS and 5th BUES already have the form in their email. Have your child ask two teachers to fill out the Google form.

Last Saturday, Wyatt, Noah, and Drake participated in Louisiana's High School Bass Fishing tournament at Caney Lake this past Saturday. All three boys qualified for state!!! Wyatt & Noah's fish weighed in at 2.23 pounds. Drake's fish weighed in at 1.50. pounds! We are so proud of you boys and can't wait to hear your results from the state tournament!

Tryout clinic starts in 11 days! All forms can be turned into the office or Ms. Avery Phillips at BMS.
