Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom provides free resources for preK-12 education to connect students and teachers to their food, fiber, fuel, and natural resources. The Colorado Foundation for Agriculture (CFA), a 501(c)(3) not for profit educational corporation, was established in 1991 to promote agricultural literacy in Colorado. CFA is governed by a nine-member board of directors that admini

sters the Agriculture in the Classroom program in Colorado. Projects and materials developed by CFA are made available at no or minimal cost to Colorado educators and others interested in educating about agriculture. CFA is the only organization that provides our state's educators with current information about Colorado agriculture and natural resources on a regular basis.

CONGRATULATIONS Patrick Pulis from Weld County Extension and his group of winning Mashed Potato dancers! Patrick Pulis is the 4‑H Youth Development and Outreach Specialist for Weld County Extension, Colorado State University. As an expansion of our 2026 Literacy Kit focused on Colorado Potatoes, we asked for Youtube videos recording current interpretations of the popular song and dance craze from the 1960's hit song by Dee Dee Sharp, Mashed Potato Time. We chose Patrick's as the winner. Don't you think we chose well? Enjoy!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Happy World Honey Day! Help us share more information about bees, pollination, honey and honey production by donating today! www.colorado.agclassroom.org.

Happy World Honey Bee Day! 🐝 Celebrated annually on the third Saturday of August, this day is dedicated to raising awareness about the vital role honey bees play in our ecosystems and agriculture.
Honey bees are essential pollinators, responsible for the production of a significant portion of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables we consume.
Despite their importance, honey bee populations face threats from habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. World Honey Bee Day encourages us to appreciate these industrious insects and take action to protect their habitats. Whether it’s planting bee-friendly flowers, reducing pesticide use, or supporting local beekeepers, everyone can contribute to the conservation of honey bees and ensure their survival for generations to come. #🍯 Photos of BC Honey Hives LLC
