Welcome to another week of Prayers for the Teaching Journey! Today I encourage you to pray for DISCERNMENT.

Discernment is defined as "the ability to grasp or comprehend that which is obscure; to judge or decide with careful consideration"

We are in unprecedented times right now. I am praying for you, dear teachers, that you would prayerfully discern what is best for you to do as a teacher and as a family during this pandemic ❤.

Whether in person or virtually, I pray that, as teachers, we would be able to DISCERN what is best for our students. I pray that God would give us eyes to see the specific needs in our classroom and the discernment for how we can meet those needs. I pray that we would have the discernment to know when a student needs grace and when they need a gentle push, when a student needs extra attention and when they need some space, when your class needs to buckle down and when they need some light-hearted fun.

There are so many amazing teaching ideas, activities, and methods available - I pray that you would be discerning about choosing the best method that fits your teaching style and your students. Truth: you can't do it all. Choose wisely. Be discerning.

The verses I have chosen is Philippians 1:9-10 "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ."
