Attention Car Riders/Parents Picking Up Students By Car
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Burroughs-Molette Elementary School! We are excited to have you and your child(ren) here and we look forward to working with you in educating your child.
The procedures for car rider and/or walk-up dismissal are as follows:
We will be using both lanes out front to dismiss our students. Pull in either lane, make sure your tag number is visible, someone will input your child’s number, and es**rt them out to you. If you are in the car lanes, please stay in your vehicles. Additionally, when you get to the end of the drive, the right lane will make a right at the end and the left lane will make a left at the end.
If you are one of the first two cars in either lane, please stop at the end of the awning outside and wait; this is where we will begin loading our students in their cars at dismissal. Please do not go past this point.
Also, if you are parking in the parking lot and walking up to pick up your student, please remember to provide your student’s tag number. Also, after you provide your child’s tag number, please stay on the parking lot side of the street and someone will es**rt your child(ren) to you.
Additionally, parents if you have filled out the Google Form and requested your car tag and have not received it, please come by the school before 2:00 pm to pick up your car tag so that you will have it at dismissal. If you have not requested a car tag and need one, please click on the link below and fill out the form and then come by the school to pick up your car tag before 2:00 pm. Thank you to all parents who have already completed the form and picked up their car tags.
Lastly parents, please be patient and flexible with us as we continue to implement our silent car rider/walk-up dismissal system. Because it is the first day of school and we are learning our babies names and faces, it may take longer than normal. So please be patient and flexible with us as we ensure the safety of your child as we dismiss them back into your care.
Again, I would like to thank you and let's have an awesome school year!

Burroughs-Molette Car Rider Dismissal 2026-2027
Good afternoon Parents and Guardians!
We are quickly approaching the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year. We look forward to seeing you and your child(ren) in a few short days.
In an effort to provide for the safety of our students and staff, Burroughs-Molette will continue with our silent dismissal car rider and walk-up pick-up system this school year. If you are planning for your child(ren) to be a car rider and/or walk-up pick up student, it is time to request your car tag. If your student was issued a number last year that number is null and void and is no longer associated with your child(ren); you will need to request a new number for this school year.
All students will be dismissed from inside the building. As a parent or guardian, you will be required to request a tag with a number that will be associated with your child(ren) that you will need to display on your rearview mirror or on the dashboard in your car so that our staff can see it. If you park in the parking lot and walk-up to pick up your child, you will also need a tag with a number. No student will be dismissed without the parent/guardian/friend presenting our custom made tag with the number or presenting a picture of the car tag via phone associated with your child.
This change was implemented last year with great success due in part to you working with us to make this transition seamless, effective, and safe; so hats off to you! We ask for your continued patience, understanding, and flexibility as we continue our silent car rider dismissal procedures to ensure for the safety of your child(ren) and our staff this coming school year.
Please click on the link below to request your child's number for car and/or walk-up dismissal. Each parent/guardian will be provided with 2 copies of their child's unique car dismissal number before or at Open House. If you cannot make it to the school to pick up your car tags before or at Open House, it is your responsibility to come by the school and pick them up and your earliest convenience. Additionally, if you lose your car dismissal tags and request another one, there will be cost to you; so please keep up with your tags once they have been given to you.
