🍎 Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Deanna Floyd

Mrs. Floyd is an incredible 5th grade teacher who pours her heart into everything she does. She is deeply committed to helping every student succeed—not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. She teaches with kindness, leads with compassion, and helps students become caring, respectful individuals. Whether she’s encouraging a student, supporting a colleague, or celebrating someone else’s success, Mrs. Floyd is everyone’s biggest cheerleader. Her positive spirit, servant’s heart, and unwavering dedication make a lasting impact on our school every single day.

🍦 Staff Member of the Year: Mrs. Valerie Martin

Mrs. Martin is the heart behind so much that keeps Satilla Marsh running smoothly. She is the ultimate organizer, planner, problem-solver, and go-to person who somehow always has an answer and a solution. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our teachers, staff, and students have everything they need to be successful. Her dedication, kindness, and willingness to help others never go unnoticed. And as a true ice cream lover, we think she deserves a triple scoop for all she does for our Satilla family! 🍨💙

This morning, the Satilla Marsh Elementary PTA was honored to welcome our incredible Satilla Marsh Elementary School teachers and staff back with Fuel for the Flock, a breakfast to help start the year feeling appreciated, encouraged, and well fed!

A huge THANK YOU to Chrystal Collett and Collett Trucking LLC for generously sponsoring this morning's breakfast by donating delicious Grandy's biscuits for our staff. Your support helped make this morning extra special, and we are so grateful for your investment in our Sandpiper family!

Along with biscuits, our staff enjoyed fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, and gluten-free options because we wanted everyone to have something to enjoy.

To our teachers and staff: thank you for the love, patience, and dedication you pour into our children every single day. We are excited to partner with you this year and can't wait to see all that our Sandpipers accomplish together!
