What an incredible week of learning, exploring, and making memories together as our little ones took a Class Trip to Hawaii! 🏝️

Throughout the week, our little travelers enjoyed:

🌺 Wearing beautiful Hawaiian leis🌋 Exploring volcanoes and creating erupting volcano science experiments🐢 Learning about Hawaii's amazing beaches and ocean animals🌈 Discovering colorful Hawaiian rainbows and waterfalls 🗺️ Exploring the Hawaiian Islands through maps and hands-on activities💃 Learning hula dancing and Hawaiian music🍍 Enjoying tropical-themed snacks and Hawaiian treats✈️ Boarding Flight GIEL and traveling to Hawaii through dramatic play🎉 Celebrating with our Hawaiian Luau and having breakfast on the beach 🏖️

🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 Today marks the final day of our Memorial Day celebration at Golden Isles Early Learning!

Throughout this week, our little learners began their journey by exploring the role and purpose of the United States military, helping them gain a better understanding of why we honor and celebrate Memorial Day. We focused on teaching children the importance of remembering and honoring the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our country.

We proudly honored two American heroes: Sergeant First Class Alwyn C. Cashe, a highly decorated Army hero recognized for his extraordinary courage and selfless sacrifice while saving fellow soldiers, and Sergeant First Class Leroy A. Petry, a Medal of Honor recipient celebrated for his bravery and heroism during combat service. Their stories inspired discussions about courage, leadership, and serving others.

To conclude our celebration, our little soldiers enjoyed a fun-filled backyard Memorial Day cookout dramatic play experience, where they used their imaginations pretending to grill, cook, and celebrate with friends—creating joyful memories while learning the meaning behind this important holiday. 🇺🇸✨

We are proud to create meaningful experiences that blend education, patriotism, play, and community while helping children build a deeper appreciation for our nation’s heroes.

🏇🎉 What a GRAND FINALE at Golden Isles Early Learning! The Red Carpet Experience🎉🏇

Today, we wrapped up our 1st Kentucky Derby Spirit Week at Golden Isles Early Learning (GIEL)—and WOW, it was absolutely JOY! ✨

Our little world changers showed up dressed to impress from head to toe in their Derby best! 👒👔 The excitement was nonstop as they:
🏁 Raced their horses in fun outdoor races
🎥 Took a virtual trip to experience the Kentucky Derby
🧻 Competed in a hilarious paper towel race
🏇 Set their own “wagers” on the fastest horse (preschool style, of course!)
🎨 Created special keepsake horseshoes using air clay

One standout moment 💛—a student proudly created an image of Oliver Lewis, the first African American to win the Kentucky Derby, tying learning, creativity, and history all together.
