The Gator Drumline kicked off the school year today with our first performance at the Rivera Raider Welcome Back Pep Rally, and our students absolutely brought the energy! From the first note to the last, they represented Garcia with pride, confidence, and plenty of Gator spirit. We couldn't be more proud of how they performed!

It was also wonderful to see so many of our former Gator Band members who are now proud Rivera Raiders! Moments like these are always special, and it's exciting to see how much you've grown since your time with us. We love cheering you on as you continue your journey, and you'll always be part of the Gator Band family. 💚💙❤️

We're just getting started! Join us tomorrow evening at Garcia's Meet the Teacher Night beginning at 5:30PM for another performance. We look forward to keeping the momentum going as we kick off what promises to be an amazing year!

What a great way to wrap up our Summer Band sessions! From rehearsing and building fundamentals to sharing pizza, games, and plenty of laughs, our students have truly earned this celebration.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, effort, and positive attitude our Gator Band members have shown all summer long. Thank you to every student who chose to spend part of their summer working hard, growing as musicians, and preparing for an exciting year ahead.

The work you put in today will pay off on the field, on the stage, and in the classroom. This is just the beginning!

🎷📯SUMMER BAND 2 BEGINS TOMORROW🥁🎺

We hope everyone had a terrific and restful summer! Tomorrow we start our 2nd session of summer band to get us ready for the upcoming school year. Pictured is the schedule for all of our brass, woodwind and percussion students.

💚🐊 What an unforgettable Honor Band season for the Garcia Gator Symphonic Band! 🐊💚

Today, our journey came to an end at the TMEA State Honor Band Semi Finals, where we proudly finished 7th in the state among 14 outstanding middle school bands, just two places away from advancing to the State Finals.

This season was about much more than a placement. For the first time in 20 years, the Garcia Gator Band returned to the TMEA Honor Band State Semi Finals, and these students made the most of the opportunity. They proved that Garcia belongs among the best middle school band programs in Texas.

What defines this band isn’t a trophy or a ranking. It’s the countless hours of rehearsals, the early mornings, the commitment to excellence, and the heart these students poured into every rehearsal and every performance. They represented Garcia Middle School, Brownsville ISD, and our community with pride, class, and integrity.

To our students, thank you for trusting the process, believing in one another, and giving everything you had. You have made history for our program, and because of your hard work, the future of the Garcia Gator Band is brighter than ever. We couldn’t be more proud to be your band directors.

To our parents, administration, staff, and everyone who supported us throughout this incredible journey, thank you for believing in these students and standing beside us every step of the way.

Congratulations on an incredible Honor Band season. This may be the end of this year’s journey, but it’s only the beginning of what’s ahead for the Garcia Gator Band.

The Garcia Gator Symphonic Band is proud to announce that we have advanced to the TMEA CC Honor Band Semi-Finals!

Out of 15 outstanding bands, we earned a 3rd Place finish, a testament to the dedication, discipline, and musicianship of every student in our program. From long rehearsals and countless hours of preparation, every moment has led to this achievement.

We are honored to be recognized among the best bands in Texas and are grateful for the support of our directors, families, administration, alumni, and community. Your support helps make accomplishments like this possible.

But we're not done yet.

The journey continues, the standard remains high, and the Gators are ready for the next challenge. On to Semi-Finals!!

🎉Congratulations to our amazing Garcia Middle School Symphonic Band students!🎉

We are excited to share that our Honor Band recording has advanced from the Region level to the Area level after earning 4th Place out of 10 bands in Region 28.

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and musicianship our students have shown throughout the year.

Thank you students for your commitment, perseverance, and countless hours of practice. We are also grateful to the Gator parents, administrators, and staff members who have supported our program along the way.

We also want to give a special shout out to the Filemon B. Vela Middle School Band directors for their assistance in recording the Garcia Band for this event!

We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished and look forward to seeing you represent Garcia Middle School at the Area level.

🐊Good afternoon, Gator Community!🐊

Our students have been working incredibly hard all semester, and we’re excited to finally share the results of their dedication with you. Please join us this week for our Annual Spring Concerts:

🎶 Tuesday, May 5 – Beginner Band
🎶 Wednesday, May 6 – Cadet Band, Concert Band & Symphonic Band

All students must arrive at the band hall in full uniform by 5:30 PM to prepare for lineup and entry into the gymnasium.
(For Wednesday’s concert, band coats will be distributed beginning at 5:00 PM.)

As a reminder, this end-of-year concert also serves as our program’s semester exam. Our students have made tremendous progress since their last performance, and we are proud to showcase how much they have grown.

Both performances are open to the public, so bring your family and friends to support our talented musicians!
