Building Blocks Child Care and Learning Center has been awarded with a 4 Star Certification for the Texas Raising Star Education Program. The Center has been working hard for more than a year and a half to get this Certification.

Awesome job on this accomplishment to Director Laura Gomez and the whole Building Blocks team. Keep up the hard work in all you do for child care education. Well deserved!

With an arctic front impacting Brownsville City officials want to remind residents to follow the following tips:
🧣 Protect People. Dress in layers and stay warm indoors. Don’t forget to check on elderly neighbors and loved ones.
🐾 Protect Pets. Bring your pets inside. Make sure they have a warm shelter and access to fresh water.
💧 Protect Pipes. Wrap exposed pipes, let faucets drip, and open cabinets under sinks to keep pipes from freezing.
🔥 Practice Fire Safety. Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from flammable objects and never leave them unattended.
🌳 Protect Plants. Cover outdoor plants or bring them indoors to shield them from the cold.
