Last Friday, we had an incredible time welcoming our newest Saint Mary’s families at our Chill & Grill with the Saints Family BBQ & Orientation!

From meeting new friends and faculty to learning more about what makes our school community so special, it was the perfect way to kick off an exciting new school year. Thank you to all of our new families, staff, Marian Ambassadors, and volunteers who made the evening such a warm and memorable welcome.

From exploring our campus to learning about the traditions, faith, and community that make St. Mary’s Catholic School so special, yesterday marked the beginning of an exciting new journey. We can’t wait to see all that this school year has in store!

Last year, we proudly launched the St. Mary's Marian Ambassadors program as a new student leadership initiative, and we have been inspired by the incredible impact these young leaders have made on our school community. Today, we are excited to continue that tradition by welcoming our 2026–2027 Marian Ambassadors!

Please join us in congratulating our newly selected 5th and 6th grade Marian Ambassadors! These students will proudly serve as philanthropic leaders representing the Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs.

Throughout the school year, our Marian Ambassadors will welcome prospective families, assist with campus tours, alumni gatherings, and special events, and serve as gracious hosts and confident representatives who share the heart, mission, and impact of St. Mary's Catholic School.

More than just a leadership role, the Marian Ambassadors program provides students with opportunities to strengthen their leadership, public speaking, and communication skills while deepening their commitment to faith, service, and school spirit.

We are incredibly proud of both our new and returning Marian Ambassadors and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

We are proud of our very own, Mrs. Gallegos, representing the Diocese of Brownsville and St. Mary’s School at this years LEAD summer conference at the University of Norte Dame.

She completed the program along other Catholic school educators from across the nation and brings great knowledge to support our school community.

We thank her for her dedication and passion for Catholic education.
