Last month.. Ramiro Tovar, BMED student was among the 54 students that UTRGV School of Medicine welcomed at the "White Coat Ceremony” . Students donned the coats for the first time and pledged to preserve the finest traditions of the medical profession. Congratulations!! Way to go!! Dr Maria Teresa Castaneda and Ms. Ildefayo Adefuye organized three Resilience Workshops for the BMED students.
Resilience is defined as an individual's ability to properly adapt to stress and adversity. Stress and adversity can come in the shape of family or relationship problems, health problems, school or workplace and financial worries, among others.
