Summer Camp: Day one is in the books. 🎶

There’s a particular kind of energy on the first day of Summer Music Camp.

The nervous excitement at the door, the first notes, the moment a camper realizes they’re exactly where they’re meant to be. Today our Video Game Week campers dove into rhythm games, their first piece, group performance rep, and the energy was everything we hoped for.

We are so proud of every young musician who showed up ready to learn, create, and play. This is what we live for. 💛

Here’s to a beautiful week ahead.

He said “summer break.” I almost dropped my coffee. ☕

Break? Mr. Andre, we’ve got camps, lessons, Piano Band, and a whole summer of kids who don’t stop growing just because school’s out.

How do I do it? Same way I do everything around here — one cup at a time. 😌

The secret’s not really a secret. It’s loving what you do… and a little help from our friends

Turns out the hardest part isn’t the piece. It’s saying your own name. 😅

Before every State Festival performance, our students introduce themselves and announce their piece. And let’s just say… the playing came easier than the talking.

The mixed-up titles, the nervous giggles, the “wait, can I start over?” — we couldn’t NOT share them.

This is the heart behind the hard work. Every one of these kids is putting Brownsville on the map. Good luck to all our performers — we’re already so proud. 🎹
