The School of Social Work is proud to celebrate Ilse Rodriguez, who was recently selected as one of just 24 graduate social work students across Texas to receive the prestigious Ima Hogg Scholarship. Miss Rodriguez was nominated by School of Social Work faculty for her outstanding work. The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health recognizes that by investing in social work students is an investment in the quality and availability of mental health professionals throughout Texas. Miss Rodriguez’s long-term goal is to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental health services to children and adolescents, helping young people thrive and overcome challenges.
