Porter Cowgirls Soccer

On Friday the 13th, the Porter Cowgirls Varsity Soccer Team traveled to Edcouch for their final game of the season—and for many of our seniors, the final game of their high school careers.

This year, the Cowgirls say goodbye to 12 seniors who have dedicated the last four years to our program. Their leadership, commitment, and passion have helped shape the culture of Porter Soccer, and it has truly been an honor watching them grow both on and off the field.

The Cowgirls entered the match determined to finish the season with a victory—and they did exactly that. Porter defeated Edcouch 2–1, with goals scored by Blanca Fuentes, a junior, and Martina Mireles, who scored the final goal of her high school career.

The Porter Cowgirls coaching staff would like to thank our seniors for their four years of dedication, hard work, and pride in representing Porter High School. Your impact on this program will not be forgotten.

The Porter Cowgirls Soccer team came out with intensity and determination tonight, ready to make a statement — and they did just that. With a solid game plan and nonstop energy, the Cowgirls were firing on all cylinders from the opening whistle.

⭐ Martina Mireles opened the scoring off a corner kick, setting the tone early.
⭐ Blanca Fuentes followed with the second goal.
⭐ Julie Ann Rodriguez sealed it with the third goal of the night.

Defensively, the Cowgirls were locked in, holding the Weslaco Panthers to ZERO shots on goal. An all-around dominant performance!
