NFA Recap 💙🪈🎶

The UTRGV Flute Ensemble gave an unforgettable performance at this year’s NFA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, with a standing ovation and a warm congratulations from our audience 🧡

Here are some more highlights:
• Dr. Nicaulis Alliey gave two amazing performances of Guiot’s “Fantaisie” and Messiaen’s “La Merle Noir”, both accompanied by pianist Astrid Morales-Torres. She also gave an engaging flute fundamentals workshop on Youth Flute Day 🎶
• Samantha Marquez, a member of the ensemble, performed with the LGBTQIA+ Flute Choir 🏳️‍🌈
• Ramiro Raya, a member of the ensemble, performed with the PeruFlauta Flute Choir 🇵🇪
• We also squeezed in some time to explore and try local restaurants nearby 🍝

We want to thank & for their invaluable collaboration to our performance. Your musical insight added a great layer to our program and helped make this performance unforgettable. It was truly a pleasure having you!!

Less than a day until our performance at the 53rd Annual National Flute Association Convention, and we couldn’t be more excited to share our program with you. Our program celebrates French and Spanish repertoire featuring an NFA Premiere of Raimundo Pineda’s “Tierra de los Cuatro Lugares”.

From hosting our annual Flute Day featuring as our guest artist, to cheering one of our own at her senior recital, to wrapping it all up with a delicious celebration at (we LOVED the tequeños 😍)

This semester was full of music, memories, & meaningful moments, and we thank and cherish everyone who was a part of that. That’s a wrap on an incredible semester! Have an amazing summer break! 🎶🧡

Our studio has been given the INCREDIBLE opportunity to perform at the 53rd Annual National Flute Association Convention!!! 🥳🎊

Our flutes have worked extremely hard on our proposal & we’re thankful to have been accepted and to be invited to perform in Atlanta this year! We’re set to perform August 10th, and we’ll be sure to update you on more information for those interested in attending our performance.

Atlanta here we come!! ✈️
