🎨 Paint it Forward 🎨
Join us on April 9th from 6:00–8:00 PM at the 6:29 Collective (629 E. 11th St, Brownsville) and help us turn creativity into impact! For a $20 donation, you can paint your own ceramic bowl, with all supplies included, while supporting the RGV Food Bank 🧡.
This flyer was designed by one of our talented L2 students at Alpha Brownsville, and it represents something even bigger… our students are on a mission to raise $7,000 to fight hunger. They’ve already secured a $1,000 grant and are aiming to raise at least $2,000 at this event 🙌🏽. Just show your donation receipt at the door.
https://secure.givelively.org/donate/food-bank-of-the-rio-grande-valley-inc/ty-brooks
Our L2s will be donating 100 hand-painted bowls to the Empty Bowls event in Sept, and this is their moment to lead, create, and give back in a powerful way.
Let’s show them they are limitless and that nothing is impossible when they are equipped with a growth mindset and surrounded by a community that believes in them 🫶🏽✨

We’re excited to share a meaningful update from the Alpha Brownsville Foster Committee! One of our students, Raegan, has taken on a leadership role in our mission to support animals in need. After thoughtful conversations at home, Raegan and her family have generously offered to foster Tuna and her four newborn kittens for the next five weeks 🏡🐱🐾
We want to acknowledge that finding foster homes and rescue placements in the RGV is incredibly challenging. With the high number of strays and rescues often at capacity, the process of securing long-term placement takes time, patience, and persistence ⏳💛
Thanks to Raegan’s family, we now have a window of opportunity to continue fundraising for veterinary care, plan for Tuna’s spay appointment, and connect with a rescue organization that can transport the kittens to permanent homes.
If your family may be interested in adopting one of the kittens once they are weaned at 8 weeks, please let us know—we’d love to keep them in the Alpha family if possible! 🐾🏠💕
We are so proud of our students for leading with compassion, responsibility, and heart 🌟
Raegan’s act of service reflects the mission of our Foster Committee—giving animals a second chance and showing us all what it means to step up when it matters most 🐶🐱❤️
