Our men’s group is so fun! Some don’t always feel like coming, but they are glad they did when they leave 🤪

No waste here!
We got a delivery of yummy coastal and alfalfa the other day. We swept up all of the little bits that fell off on the trailer and filled up this tub. Mia, Apache, and Gil made sure it didn’t go to waste 🤩

Here is what happens when you practice patience and take your time.

When Allie came to us 3 years ago, she was MEAN to our farrier. We assume she hadn’t had a good experience, or maybe limited experience, with farriers. She didn’t mind me going in her stall and catching her. I’d go in, put her halter on, and stand there scratching and petting her to distract her from what was going on around her hooves. We did this routine every time he came out. Last week he was able to go in Allie’s stall, catch her, lead her around the barn, and trim her hooves all by himself outside of her stall. This was HUGE! It showed us being patient can be rewarding. Now she is relaxed when getting a trim, and I don’t have to worry about keeping her calm.

They think they are massage therapists!

Sweet Mia has been struggling in our classes. We noticed she didn’t like to be brushed and was ā€œsourā€ all through class. After spending some time massaging her, we saw how relaxed she was. We taught our clients some massage techniques and replaced the brushing component with a massage. This has completely transformed Mia. She has been relaxed and willing to work with our clients! How cool is that?!?!

Two peas in a pod! Apache and Mia each have their own buckets, but insist on sharing one. They are inseparable!

Allie girl is all bundled up in her new blanket! She’s looking stylish! I think the red suits her well. She’s a flashy girl and she has a bright red blanket to match.
