The things kids say:
Lily: the car van hit a deer and then it had a bruise so it went to the store to get fixed. But now it’s better and we have it back. Mom drives the red car and dad drives the car van. But they share.
Me: it’s always nice to share! I’m glad you have your van back!
Lily: actually, I’m gonna go to school when I’m bigger. Like Lucas. He is 8! (Lucas, her older brother, is actually only 6!!)
Me: wow, that’s so cool! How old are you now?
Lily: I’m 3. I turn 4 at ten o clock. Then I’m bigger and I can have bubblegum. Lucas loves bubblegum. But I’m not big enough yet.
Me: sounds like you have a lot of stuff planned when you get older!
Lily: yes! Mom took down all of the Christmas stuff but dad said that we are putting more up.
Me: well, that’s okay, Christmas is over for the year.
Lily: mom will come down the stairs and then it’ll be so much fun!
