The words every student waits to hear “it’s movement time!” Time to take a moment to stretch, get sensory input, jump, walk around, crawl through a mini obstacle course? Why not! Movement throughout the school day gives students a chance to recharge their minds and bodies, helping them focus, understand, and work better. Research proves movement during the school day improves behavior.

Go on! Pick up that book! Keep on reading! Really try to immerse yourself into what you read. Reading immersion is mastering the complete engagement in a story so you feel like you are really there. You can actually see, hear, feel, smell, and taste the things around you as a story progresses. Imagine the things you can learn if you are reading literature in this fun engaging way.

Creative teaching methods improve problem solving and cognitive skills. Non-traditional ways of learning can be more motivating for some students. Creative teaching methods actively engage students when introducing new skills or a non preferred task that may be difficult for them.
