I teach Basic Sewing Made Fun & Easy at Colorado Free University. During the Coronavirus many Sewists, including myself are making masks for hospitals. There is an elastic shortage currently and many are using elastic hair bands in place of regular elastic. Joann Fabrics has a pattern on their website: Joannfabrics.com. The American SewingGuild is also making masks using a specific pattern, as well as many mask tutorials on YouTube.com
As a Sewist this is a perfect way to use sewing skills to help our country during this crisis.
