Rebekah Johnson holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
While in Greenville she studied with Dr. Kenon D. Renfrow for her bachelor’s degree and pedagogy internship. Rebekah has 13 years of teaching experience in private piano instruction, providing students with a well rounded approach to theory, sight reading, improvisation, composition, technique, and ear-training. She has taught beginner to advanced levels working with students of all ages, helping
them set and achieve their musical goals and readying them for performances and competitions. Rebekah is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Colorado State Music Teachers Association (CSMTA), and the Broomfield Music Teachers Association (BMTA). She currently serves on the executive committee of the Broomfield Music Teachers Association as Secretary. Rebekah enjoys accompanying and has worked with many groups including mixed ensemble groups, men’s and women’s choruses and children’s choirs, as well as with many instrumental and vocal soloists. She has worked intimately in church music programs for over 12 years. Rebekah’s studio goals for her students include: they become skilled sight readers, they develop advanced technical skills, they become skilled and accomplished performers, and they develop a love and appreciation for music.
