This past weekend we had 7 athletes compete in the track & field state meet, and just wanted to share their accomplishments!
4x2 took 12th (Rhianna LaBar, Lola Pereira, Kaylee Hoang, Annalina Torres)
4x4 took 3rd, with a new school record! (Gabby Shepston, Laila Fraizer, Kaylee Hoang, Annalina Torres)
Sprint Medley Relay took 2nd, with a new school record! (Rhianna LaBar, Natalie Flageolle, Annalina Torres, Gabby Shepston)
Gabby Shepston took 5th in the 400
Annalina Torres took 3rd in the 400, with a new school record (which was previously Gabby's)!

2024 State Championship yesterday: the 800m Sprint Medley! Rhianna (100m leadoff) Natalie (100m 2nd leg) Anna (200m 3rd leg) and Gabby (400m anchor) ran their SECOND SCHOOL RECORD OF THE MEET!
After running a 1:47.13 PR in prelims, they took SECOND PLACE in the finals with a 1:45.99. THATS OVER 3 SECONDS FASTER THAN THE PREVIOUS RECORD! Congratulations to our silver medalists 🥈🥈🥈🥈

In April, four FutureForward at Bollman and Washington Square students were sponsored by Iron Buffalo to compete in the Colorado Top Tech competition. Hosted this year by Lincoln Technical Institute in Denver, FutureForward students competed against their peers from major tech colleges in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.
A special shoutout to Kylie Walker, who won 1st place in the Electrical and Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) categories! Thank you Iron Buffalo and Lincoln Tech for this amazing opportunity!
