Broomfield High School's Kairos Theatre

The newly named Kairos Theatre at Broomfield High School is a student-centered, group-oriented theatre arts program producing quality plays for over 46 years.

The Broomfield High School theatre program is a student-centered, group-oriented arts program. The time, energy, and talent given by the students is a clear reflection of the belief, as Arthur Miller put it, that“there lies within the dramatic form the ultimate possibility of raising the truth consciousness of mankind to a level of such intensity as to transform those who observe it.”

As we start the new school year and theatre season, we wanted to share our theme for the new year. We have chosen TRANSFORM Broomfield as our focus. The plays we perform this year, Harper Lee's classic To Kill a Mockingbird and Almost, Maine will be an effort to explore how theatre is more than just entertainment - it can be a transformative experience.

We hope you will join us as we embark on this journey.

Welcome to the Kairos Theatre page - this is our second official year of existence as Kairos, but more than 40 years of theatre at Broomfield High School. We invite you to like this page as we continue our tradition of innovative educational theatre in Broomfield. Coming in April to the BHS stage - Lerner & Loewe's ode to the Arthurian ideal - CAMELOT. This production will blend the talents of many of Broomfield's best singers, actors, and musicians for three special nights (April 10-12, 2014).

In October of this year, the Broomfield High School Auditorium became our 'universe' as we produced our very own adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's classic children's story A Wrinkle in Time. Start to finish it was a collaborative production.
