Looking for something to read over spring break??? Paxon Hollow’s own Laura Bennett published a young adult novel titled “Just High School” and it’s set to drop on Tuesday! You can pre-order her book at Barnes & Noble as well. We are so proud of Laura and all of us at MNEA can’t wait to read her book! And to top that off, the illustrations are from Breslyn Studebaker from PHMS’ art department! We’ve got some mighty talented teachers in this union!!! Have a spectacular spring break everyone!!!

At tonight’s school board meeting, the nominated teachers of each building in MNSD for the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Teacher of Excellence in Delaware County Award were recognized for their brilliance in the classroom and school communities. Lindsay Toriello-Uliasz of PHMS was also recognized as the winner of the Citadel Heart of Learning Award, as well as Dan Peters’ for his MNEA Teacher of the Year Award.

Take a look at one of the highlights in MN from this week! Each year, the fourth grade team organizes Worrall’s participation in the Phanatic about Reading Program. This year, Mrs. Mooney’s (4th gr.) reader leaders earned a whole school assembly with the Phanatic!

As we go in to the holiday season, we wish to congratulate Mr. Dan Peters on winning this year’s MNEA Teacher of the Year Award!!!

Dan is a true staple of our professional community, and his commitment toward building a tremendous music program at Loomis Elementary School is felt every single day. Our students are lucky to have him, and he is a remarkable colleague to all. His hard work and dedication to his craft make him a stout choice for this year’s TOTY award.

Some great things happening in our schools!!! The Paxon girls soccer program and the Best Buddies club got together today to have an awesome day of fun after school! What a great showing of sportsmanship, inclusion, and promoting the love of the game!
