Fee waiver info from APA’s Office of Graduate and Postgraduate Education & Training....

"Did you know that APA will pay up to $135 in PSYCAS application fees for qualified applicants?

The American Psychological Association (APA) subsidizes either the first or first three application fees for applicants who submit the required documentation and meet eligibility requirements.

• If you meet income qualifications (as determined by your most recent IRS 1040 form), the first application fee of $65 in PSYCAS is waived; or
• If you participated in one of four service programs, the first three application fees totaling $135 in PSYCAS are waived.

To apply for either fee waiver:

• Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the application, then select Fee Assistance Program;
• Select either financial- or service-based fee waiver from the drop-down menu; then
• Submit your request for a fee waiver after providing the requested information and documentation.
Once you submit your fee waiver request, it can take up to ten business days to process, so NOW is the time to send in your request!

If you are approved, the waiver amount will be automatically deducted from your total fees, and you are responsible for any remaining balance.

Have more questions?
Visit our Help Center to learn more about the APA-subsidized Fee Assistance Program or contact PSYCAS customer service (between 9 am and 5 pm EST) with any questions by calling 617-612-2088 or sending an email to [email protected]."
