Let’s reflect on 2025-2026, shall we?

We redesigned our school newspaper “The Roar” with more in-depth reporting, more coverage.

We had more student photographers signed up for events than we ever had before.

Our yearbook “Moment By Moment” won the Gallery of Excellence (where we go against other schools) AND we did our first ever full chronological yearbook.

Oh did we mention we published a Literary Magazine?

I’m exhausted, the staff is exhausted, cannot wait until summer.

Spoiler alert- here’s what we are working on already for next year:
1) Adding 20+ more pages of coverage into the 26-27 yearbook.
2) Putting our newspaper also online and having weekly coverage of events.
3) Increasing the Literary Magazine by 20+ more pages.

Our yearly tradition where the new leaders pick their chair for the following year. The rules are simple:

1) Once the seniors leave and the front gate closes, the first person to get to the chair they want claims it for a year. Must put name on chair.

2) That’s it.

I walk slow. Somehow, a few of the older leaders managed to beat me back into the classroom this year. I’m fairly certain neighboring teachers were bribed with charm, persistence, and probably snacks. Always love when our HHS staff members play along with our fun games.

New year. New theme. New (to them) chairs.
