We are a Florida-based math tutoring center specializing in SAT Prep, ACT Prep, Algebra 1 EOC, Common Core Math K-8th grades, Singapore Math, Math Competition Instruction, one-on-one tutoring, small group tutoring, and we publish our own workbooks! We offer one on one and group tutoring math services to students in Tampa, all of Florida, the United States, and even internationally. 🎉 Happy Pi Approximation Day! 🥧➗

Why do we celebrate July 22?

Because 22⁄7 is one of the best-known fractions used to approximate π (pi)—the special number that represents the relationship between a circle's circumference and its diameter. While π actually goes on forever (3.14159265...), 22⁄7 = 3.142857... is surprisingly close, making it a handy estimate that's been used in mathematics for centuries.

It's a fun reminder that in math, sometimes an estimate is exactly what you need—and understanding why it works is even more important than memorizing the number.

Happy Tau Day! 🎉

Did you know that some mathematicians prefer τ (tau) over π (pi)?

Tau represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its radius and is equal to 2π (about 6.28). Many math enthusiasts love tau because it makes certain circle formulas more intuitive and highlights the connection between circles and angles.

Whether you're Team Tau, Team Pi, or just enjoy a good excuse to celebrate math, today is a great day to appreciate the beauty of circles and the patterns that make mathematics so fascinating.
