Today wrapped up our final Kindergarten Camp session! ☀️ We focused on fine motor and gross motor skills while having fun in the sunshine. Along the way, we practiced important skills like walking safely to the playground, taking turns, being patient, using encouraging words, and not giving up.
We had a smaller group today, but it was such a wonderful time!

A big thank you to Gena King with the Bracken County Health Department HANDS Program for speaking with our adults and reminding us all of the importance of play and getting on our children’s level. 💛

Our final session is tomorrow morning at 9:30 am. 🐾

I am hoping to take our gross motor skills outdoors with the future tigers, so please lather on the sunscreen and slip on some gym shoes! 🧴☀️👟

Parents/Guardians will hang back with Mrs. Gena King with the Bracken County Health Department HANDS Program and discuss ways to promote movement at home this summer!

The Bracken County Family Resource & Youth Services Center is excited to host our annual Back to School Supply Drive, providing a one-stop shop for students and families who need a little extra assistance as they prepare for the upcoming school year!

We are currently accepting donations of:

• Backpacks (especially larger backpacks for older students)

• Monetary donations to help purchase needed items

Every donation, volunteer hour, and haircut helps ensure local students begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.

Due to rain in the weather forecast, the Community-Wide Yard Sale has been postponed.

What a wonderful morning at Taylor Elementary! Our future kindergarteners spent the day exploring Math & Reasoning through hands-on activities, games, problem-solving, and plenty of smiles. 🧮⚖️

Thank you to all of our families for joining us as we help prepare these amazing students for a successful start to kindergarten.

We can’t wait to see everyone back for our final Kindergarten Readiness Camp session on June 24th.
