Our 100th Day celebration is on Friday. I can't wait to see all of the shirts! Remember that they can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like for them to be....they just need to have 100 somethings on them (100 dots, 100 bandaids, 100 buttons, etc.) Also, we are collecting canned goods this week for the Share the Love Food Drive. The intermediate and primary classes who bring in the most cans will win pizza parties. Our class loves pizza. 😁

It is important for children at this age to develop an appropriate pencil grasp and use correct letter formation when writing. We are spending a lot of time on this skill right now, because the longer incorrect grasp and letter formation continues, the harder it is to correct. This week we did a variety of activities to work on the letter C and O. Both of these letters need to begin at the top and proceed in a counter-clockwise motion. Many of the students want to begin at the bottom or go clockwise. It is important for them to form these letters correctly, because other letters are built off of these. Does this sound a little boring? Not in kindergarten! Check out some of the fun we had while working on these important skills.
