Courtney Anderson, a certified doula, recently visited our Health Science classes for a hands-on and informative experience!

In Health Science I, she discussed the functions of the placenta and provided a unique hands-on learning opportunity with a real placenta—an experience our students won’t forget.

In Health Science II, she shared insight into the role of a doula, what they do, and the pathway to becoming one.

We are so thankful for community professionals like Courtney who take the time to invest in and inspire our students!

Students explored the PT and OT classrooms, experienced the nursing simulation lab, and had the unique opportunity to visit the cadaver lab. It was a great hands-on experience that gave them a deeper look into future careers in healthcare.

Thank you to William Carey University for welcoming our students and providing such an impactful learning experience!

This was a meaningful experience for our students as they witnessed the importance of organ donation and the powerful stories behind it. We are proud to provide opportunities like this that connect classroom learning to real-world impact. 💙
