Brooklyn College Alumni: Your Story Matters

Every Brooklyn College alum has a story worth preserving.

Through the Brooklyn College Alumni Oral History Project, weโ€™re collecting the experiences, memories, and moments that have shaped our alumni community and the Collegeโ€™s history.

Have you received a postcard about the project? We invite you to share your story and help future generations learn from the people and experiences that have made Brooklyn College what it is today.

Add your voice to our history.

Learn more about the project, participation details, and FAQs on the project page.

Every graduate has a story. What started at Brooklyn College helped shape careers, communities, and lives across the globe.

Weโ€™re capturing those stories in a special Oral History Publication. Brooklyn College has partnered with PCI to collect alumni memories, experiences, and accomplishments that reflect the impact of the Brooklyn College community.

Join us in preserving Brooklyn College history for future generations. All alums welcome! Stories will be collected through January 22, 2027.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Meet Gabrielle Joseph โ€™26, a business administration major, and one of our two Ponce Bank scholarship recipients.

Raised by Haitian parents who instilled a deep appreciation for education, Gabrielle always knew she was meant to unlock her full potential.

After initially pursuing a nursing degree at Long Island University, Gabrielle took a deliberate step back to reassess her goals. Through careful exploration, she discovered a true passion for business and project management. She brought this recharged vision to Brooklyn College, where she has thrivedโ€”stepping out of her comfort zone and earning an outstanding 3.9 GPA in her first semester.

Looking ahead, Gabrielle plans to secure project management internships, but her ultimate goal goes beyond corporate success. She is deeply committed to uplifting marginalized communities and creating spaces where youth can nurture their gifts. We are incredibly proud of Gabrielleโ€™s resilience and dedication to driving positive change!
