When I first became a Pilates teacher equipment in some circles was not “authentic”, as valued or even belittled relative to the what was considered “classical Pilates”.

Friends, remember everything in the Pilates world has context. Take the time to learn some of it. Leather straps isn’t more classical! Kathy’s Reformers had ropes. History matters. Learn why certain things exist, or don’t exist anymore. Decide what and why you like ropes or leather straps!
