A great ending to a big year! Our 5th graders wrapped up their Global Studies deep-dive into the Maya, Mexica, and Inca civilizations with a trip to the American Museum of Natural History.
Each student researched their own artifact, then had to track down its exhibit at the museum - using a paper map (talk about an ancient artifact! 🗺️) - and present their piece to the class.
Researchers, navigators, and tour guides all in one afternoon. We’re so proud of them!

The Co-op School is celebrating our graduating 8th Grade students. Today we’re celebrating: LINUS 💚🌳
“What I am going to miss most about The Co-op School is the teachers, as they all serve a deep role in each child’s education. One piece of advice I would give to younger students at The Co-op School is to always have a positive mindset and be confident in your own talents. My favourite memory from my time at The Co-op School was the 2025 Carnival, because working on it with my friends is a memory I will forever cherish. Next year, I will be attending York Prep High School, and I am looking forward to the community in high school.“

The rain didn’t stop us last week!
Field Day happened - rain and all. We split the fun between our outdoor space and the gym, and our students and teachers showed up ready for every bit of it.
There were races. There was laughing. There were a whole lot of happy, slightly soggy faces.
Huge thanks to the teachers and grown-ups who jumped in and made it work. The Co-op School we love is joyful, and in it together. 💚🌳

The Co-op School is celebrating our graduating 8th Grade students. Today we’re celebrating: JASPER 💚🌳
“I will miss the amazing community at The Co-op School and the relationships I have built here. My advice to younger students is to stay organized, seek out resources when you need support, and take advantage of the tools and support available to you at The Co-op School, which can really help you grow academically. For me, using additional learning resources helped strengthen my understanding of math and played a big role in how I prepared for the ISEE.
I am proud to say that I got into all of my top private high school choices, and next year I will be attending LREI (Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin High School). I am most looking forward to trying new experiences and growing in a new environment.”

Jeremy from brought a full concert into our library, and our whole preschool was there for it. Jeremy on electric guitar and vocals, Joe on drums, and our tiny students with the most important job of all: moving their bodies, singing along, and having so much fun.
Thank you, Jeremy and Joe, for the music and the joy. 💚

The Co-op School is celebrating our graduating 8th Grade students. Today we’re celebrating: KENNEDY 💚🌳
“What I’m going to miss most about The Co-op School is the kind, close-knit community and the overall atmosphere of the school. I’ve been here since kindergarten, so it really feels like a second home to me. One of my favorite memories is from kindergarten, when our class went to Medieval Times and got to visit a real castle. It was such an exciting and unique experience, and it’s something I’ve always remembered as a fun and special moment from my early school years.
If I could give one piece of advice to younger students, it would be to really take the time to enjoy your years here. The Co-op School goes by faster than you think.
Next year, I’m going to York Prep High School. I’m also looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing a different environment.”

The Co-op School is celebrating our graduating 8th Grade students. Today we’re celebrating: MAX 💚🌳
“What I will miss most about The Co-op School is the strong sense of community, the people, and the kindness that makes this school so special. My advice to younger students is to be yourself and find ways to contribute to the community.
I love theater, and I am really excited to be attending my first-choice school, Repertory Company High School of the Arts. I am looking forward to acting, performing, and continuing to grow as a performer.”

Last week, our PreK and Kindergarten friends got a special concert with Show Kids! 🎭
Through music, movement, and storytelling, the bilingual team of artists and educators at Show Kids has been introducing our students from different grades to a world where self-expression, cultural appreciation, and teamwork take center stage - all while learning Spanish in a fun and interactive way. The joy in the library during their performance was contagious, and so was the singing.Thank you, ! 💚
