Feast Day The Ascension of the Lord..

The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is celebrated forty days after Easter — this year on Thursday, May 14.

While in many countries and dioceses this feast is transferred to Sunday, in the dioceses of New England, including our Diocese, we continue to celebrate it on its traditional day: exactly forty days after the Resurrection.

The Ascension is not Jesus “leaving us behind.” It is the fulfillment of His victory and the opening of heaven for humanity. In Christ, our human nature is already brought into the glory of the Father. He ascends not to abandon the Church, but to remain with us in a new way through the Holy Spirit.

This solemnity reminds us that history has meaning, that Christ reigns even now, and that this world is not our final destination. We are called to live as witnesses and continue building the Kingdom of God in the middle of everyday life.

In a world filled with confusion, anxiety, and loss of purpose, the Ascension reminds us that we are not alone — Christ intercedes for us before the Father and prepares a place for us.

The Solemnity of the Ascension is a Holy Day of Obligation.

Tomorrow is Give Back Friday… students may dress down for $5 and all proceeds will go towards a school enhancement!

On May 20th from 7:00–9:00 PM, the Youth Health Awareness Event will take place in the school auditorium. This event is to support Neo Cheung as his Eagle Scout Project for Troop 99.

This is an amazing opportunity to meet professionals in the healthcare field and learn valuable information about youth health and wellness. We hope to see you there!

Today first grade went to the Staten Island Zoo the children had so much fun . They even had the opportunity to gon the Metry Go Around. The teacher treated them to the Merry Go Round! 🐷🐒🦍🐟🦆🐢🐠

Celebrating the last day of Disney Club Jr with an ice cream and Zootopia 2 movie party!

Ka-chow! Last week Disney Club Jr celebrates the movie ‘Cars’ 20th birthday by making their own Lighting McQueen car and reading about his adventures.

On Friday is our Someone Special Dance! Pre-K- 8th grade is invited! We hope to see many of our academy students with their someone special!

Yesterday, our 8th graders had their senior trip at Area 53! It was such a fun day for everyone. Thank you to all of the parents who joined us and to Ms. Balbuena for planning such a memorable experience. The countdown to graduation has officially begun!

Our Third Annual Spring Fling: Kids Edition will be held on May 29th! We are asking families to help support this fun event by donating an item from our wishlist or bringing in a donated item.
