Honoring the real-life heroes of P.S. 506: our Super Dads & Guardians! 🦸‍♂️💙✨

A few days ago, our school community gathered to celebrate the incredible fathers, mothers stepping in for working dads, single parents wearing both hats, aunties, uncles, and caring guardians who show up every day for our students. In our school, “Many Cultures, One Family” means recognizing that family takes many forms—and love and support come in every role.

Following our celebration and morning breakfast treats, many families joined us in the auditorium for our first PTA meeting of the school year! Led by our Principal, Mr. Daniel Castro, the meeting centered on our shared commitment to providing every child with the rich education, neighborhood resources, and welcoming community they deserve.

Thank you to all the amazing guardians who joined us, snapped photos, and continue to partner with us to lift up our future leaders! 🐝🍎

A HUGE, heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible P.S. 506 staff and amazing P.T.A. for putting this entire event together and making it such a memorable success!

A massive shout-out and heartfelt thank you to NYU Langone Family Health Centers for their incredible generosity in donating backpacks and school supplies for EVERY single student at P.S. 506! 🎒💜✨

We were thrilled to welcome their representative, Aaron But, who joined us alongside our wonderful school bee mascot, Ms. Andrea, spreading cheer and excitement to our community! 🐝🎈

This event was a true team effort, made possible by our dedicated facilitators and helping hands: Ms. Cuervo, Ms. Schiano, Ms. Fanna, Ms. Gonzalez, Ms. McNally, Ms. Galanti, and Ms. DeVito. A special thank you as well to Mr. Castro for his continuous leadership and ongoing support.
