Last week we celebrated the culmination of the 2026 CRISP Lab cohort at a showcase! 🎉
Over two weeks, our interns worked side by side on real client projects, building technical skills and workplace readiness at the same time, with an experienced mentor guiding the way.

This year's clients:
✈️ JetBlack Travel: interns ran usability and accessibility testing on JetBlack's website and delivered recommendations to improve the user experience.

🎵 Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy : interns produced a promotional video for their summer programs.

Huge thanks to Best Buy for supporting the showcase, and to JetBlack Travel and Nordoff-Robbins for trusting our interns with real work. 💙

Career paths aren't a straight line.

The 2026 CRISP cohort heard a panel of professionals who shared employment tips, resume strategy, and the winding paths people take to get where they are.
Then everyone broke into 1-on-1 sessions for networking advice, resume help, and portfolio reviews.

Thank you to our panelists:

💼 Debbie Roman — Program Manager, NY Workforce Development, National Grid
📡 Lindsey Colangelo — Director, Technology Communications Lead, Mizuho
⚾ Joseph Crawford — Segment Producer, MLB
🎓 Lauren Owen — Education Project Manager, Tech Unlimited

"That's a wrap on Innovate with AI Week! 🤖

🎬 AI for Video Editing: using AI tools to bring creative projects to life

Thank you to Infosys Foundation USA , whose support made this possible. Beyond funding, they helped shape the curriculum and provided guest speakers, Jeff Mosier and Jeffrey M. Levenberg, who brought keen insight to our students about the future of AI and Careers in AI.

Last month, the Neurodiversity Advisory Council (NAC) tackled AI and AI scams 🤖🚨 learning how to spot red flags and stay safe online. For their breakout activity, students got creative and designed their own anti-AI scam posters.

NAC's insights shape TU programming , for example: next week's Innovate with AI Summer Workshop, happening both virtually and in-person! 💻✨ Big thanks to Infosys Foundation USA for sponsoring 🙌

New data from our 2026 Alumni Survey: 66.7% of Tech Unlimited alumni surveyed are working full- or part-time, with strong gains in teamwork, communication, and technical skills.

Neurodiverse young adults continue to face real barriers entering the workforce, but data like this shows what's possible with the right support, training, and opportunities behind them.
