Another batch of cuts for yall to practice from last year …all the animated tutorials for each one are up except the last two rows haven’t been edited yet. I’ll release those soon on the TTM insta first. Remember there are INFINITE skratch possibilities so don’t be afraid to experiment and sound different from other tablists. Jonathan Rist haven’t seen Vekked do most of these …when I do cover his new techniques I’ll make sure to make a special grid that’s unique to Vekked …I’m not doing different boomerang phases tho cuz I’m focusing on the infinite realm of openfader cuts that can go much faster than their closed fader counterparts…too much closed fader clicking can wear down ones flow in my experience but I will cover closed fader cuts at the end of this 365 day TTM Skratch calendar I’m finishing up.

Yes. Even DJ Woody uses our TTM skratch notation tø catalog all of the extremely difficult techniques in his arsenal as well as using it to create new combo ideas. Its clear that the greatest skratch djs in the world like multi-battle champ Dj Woody are using TTM notation to their advantage to literally visualize their flow. Woody is actually one of my favorite turntablists of all time due to his all around high level creativity and mastery of juggles, cuts and drum cuts. Top tablists havent yet duplicated what he's done and he amazingly keeps pushing the artform forward by innovating melodic skratching pioneering the usage of multi-channel intervals, chords and intricate melodic phrase cuts. Bro is more than a beast on the tables. He's a monster. A titan in the skratch game.

Here’s the backside of that IDA battle score with the actual names of the cuts with the above..only used like a 3rd of them. These were based on techniques I could do at 103 bpm….every different speed range can support different types of cuts so it’s important to understand how a particular cut can fit into a track as normal speed, halfspeed, double time, slow cross-rhythm and fast cross-rhythm. I categorized each cut by how long the musical note was aka how much of a bar was being used. This was helpful because is made it easy to build the score by plugging in each technique onto the grid using the proper length of time

This is the TTM notation score I made for my IDA set…only had time to memorize the first 6 bars.. after that I just freestyled cuz what I wrote down was too difficult without practicing It for days/weeks. In bar 5 I simplified things and just did Ken Ones M-Flares instead of the super fast 2 click m-flares that I wrote down. Also bar four with the Joe Cooley cross rhythm had a scribble chirp combo at the end that was tricky to do right before the m-flares…so I just did a forward release in the recording. I also miss counted the bars before I began practicing and wrote down too many bars so I had to omit my 3 least favorite lines of 12 bars. I took out the closed fader stabs ode to the piklz famous outro and dxt’s Rocket pattern ..but ended up keeping the see-saw patterns at the end and paired them with some tazers that Frankie D taught me earlier this year. I took out the second four bars cuz the cuts appear in other places…took out the second to last line because I did lots of wah cuts already. In my freestyle I got mad that I left out the slow 3 click Chinmachines in bars 11 and 12 ..also was mad I forgot to add the cross rhythm scribble twiddles in bar 13, the cross rhythm scribble-scribble crescents at the end of line 7 and the finale doubletime scribble twiddles. So I decided I’m gonna keep practicing the score until I can do it and then record it in the future when I have time
