Today is a new beginning.

After years of learning, teaching, creating, and growing, our new People 4 People Productions website is officially live.

This page has been an important part of our journey, and I'm incredibly grateful to every one of you who has followed, encouraged, and believed in our work.

As we move into this next chapter, we're bringing our community together in one place so we can better share opportunities, student stories, new films, workshops, events, and the launch of our global youth media channel.

Following a landmark shift in public and legal recognition of the intentional design of social media platforms to drive youth engagement and dependency, People 4 People Productions (P4PP) announces the national expansion of Own The Story® — A National Youth Narrative Power Movement.
For the first time, the system has been named. Courts and public reporting have confirmed what young people have long experienced: digital platforms are engineered to capture
attention, shape identity, and influence behavior at scale.
This is not just technology. This is influence—designed.

The recent verdict signals a broader cultural shift—from denial to accountability, and from awareness to action. As scrutiny increases, the need for real solutions has never been more urgent.
Own The Story® equips young people with film media literacy, narrative power, and creative production skills—transforming them from passive consumers into active creators.
Participants learn to decode how images and algorithms shape perception, recognize harmful media patterns, and produce original films rooted in truth, identity, and lived experience.
Young people are not the problem. They are responding to systems designed to capture attention, amplify insecurity, and reward emotional extremes. These systems are powerful—but they are not more powerful than a generation that understands them.

After deep reflection, I’ve made a decision.

Moving forward, People 4 People Productions will no longer use social media to share personal or community information in ways that can be extracted, tracked, and monetized by large tech platforms.

We believe our stories—especially those of our young people—deserve protection, dignity, and intention.

What we’re building requires something different.

Through OWN THE STORY®, our national initiative, we are working to confront the systems shaping youth identity, attention, and mental health—and to equip young people with the tools to understand and transform them.

This means shifting away from constant posting—and toward meaningful connection.
