In the late 1960's the current school district was formed through the consolidation of the Brooklyn, Cement City and Clarklake schools systems. Today the Columbia School District provides educational services for more than 1,500 students and is a Class B school system. The Columbia School District believes that ALL students can learn and achieve mastery of essential skills. The district, to the ex

tent it is financially able to provide physical and human resources required to meet these responsibilities, is dedicated to providing an environment that fosters self-esteem, self-motivation, and responsibility in our students. The district also believes that education is a cooperative effort between home, school and the community.

Future Golden Eagle cheerleaders still have time to join the fun! Columbia Central Cheerleading has opportunities this fall for students from Young 5s through 6th grade.

📣 Sideline Cheer Team | 3rd–6th Grade
The first practice is Wednesday, September 2! Practices will be held Wednesdays from 5:00–6:30 PM at the CCHS football field.

Happy First Day of School, Golden Eagles! 🦅

The halls are ready, the classrooms are waiting, and we’re so excited to welcome our students and staff back to Columbia School District today!

💙💛 Whether you’re walking through our doors for the very first time or returning for another year, we hope today is the start of a school year filled with new friendships, new opportunities, lots of learning, and plenty of Golden Eagle pride.

As a reminder, today is a half day:

We are thrilled to share that free breakfast and lunch will be available to ALL Columbia School District students again this school year! This initiative ensures that every child has access to nutritious meals each day. We encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity. Breakfast begins at 7:40 am at the elementary campus and 7:25 am at the high school.

Calling all 6th Grade Families! Heading to the Back to School Bash on 8/25? Make sure to check out the 6th Grade Symposium! To fit everyone's schedules, we are offering two session options:
Session 1: 5:15 PM
Session 2: 6:00 PM
All five 6th grade classrooms will also be open between sessions so students can get familiar with the space and say hi!
Both sessions will cover the same essential info to help your student jumpstart a fantastic school year. Choose whichever time works best for your family - we can't wait to see you there!
