Pat Nelson '73 had 2 events happen recently...she did a show about amateur radio and women for the KFAI International Women's Day and was interviewed for the American Radio Relay League's On The Air magazine. Her call letters are KE0QXD.

Pittsburgh Newspaper Highlights Trailblazing Surgeon
The New Pittsburgh Courier featured the trailblazing career of Dr. Velma Scantlebury-White, ’77, the first African American female transplant surgeon in U.S. history. Dr. Scantlebury-White currently serves as Associate Director of the Kidney Transplant Program for the Christiana Care Health System in Delaware. She formerly served on staff at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
