On Tuesday night, we’ve got the most fashion-forward lineup in science communication, perhaps ever! We’re starting with two talks themed on the Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum, a fashion exhibit connecting the natural world with design. Lillian Young (they/she) from the museum will introduce us to the exhibit and the curation process, and Dr. Sam Tramontano (she/her) will dive into some of the geology, biology, and mineral connections in the exhibit, and her own fit. And closing us out, we’re excited to have Dr. Emma Zajdela from Princeton / Santa Fe Institute, whom you may have heard recently on Science Friday, to talk about her research on the patterns in, mathematics of, fashion trends.
