I wanted to reach Bunnies beyond Brooklyn so I made my class into a TV show and it started with this pilot episode of Lavender Blues TV…

Lavender Blues is turning 14 and I am feeling quite nostalgic as I look through old videos and pictures.

I started my YouTube channel in 2012 when a grandma from class asked me to write down the lyrics to my songs so she could learn the words.

I knew a video would be better, but when I went to upload one to my website, I found that I couldn’t unless I made a YouTube channel and that’s how Lavender Blues on YouTube was born.

14 years later, the channel has 19+ million views and over 24K subscribers.

Bunnies from all over the world have joined our class and have even traveled to Brooklyn to join us in person. I am really proud of how I’m able to connect with families beyond Brooklyn.

🥳 Lavender Blues is turning 14 tomorrow! 14 years ago tomorrow I sang “hello” for the very first time.

So much has happened since then, let’s do a little recap!

Starting with, and in no particular order…

The “i LOVE ME REMIX” video came out in 2018. I asked Lavender Blues families and some of my friends to be a part of this video with me.

We filmed in their homes, out and around Brooklyn town, in Lavender Blues family backyard in PLG. Plus some footage from my classes. It was everything I had asked for, I cried when I watched it for the first time.

I had so much fun making this video with my community. Cheers to so many more years! 🥂
