Our third Community Classroom workshop brought families together to celebrate Women’s History Month and introduce the fascinating world of X-rays and medical imaging.

Led by our amazing GOK Parent Lisa Heralall, our young learners kicked things off with a fun warm-up and got their bodies moving and ready to learn. From there, children explored the bones in the body; learning how to identify the mandible down to the fibula. They even put their knowledge to the test by matching the magnetic labels onto the correct bones; showing just how much they learned!

Creativity came next as students traced their hands and designed their own “X-ray” art, bringing science and imagination together in a meaningful way.

We wrapped up the day by sharing important information about medical imaging from Lenox Hill Radiology, offering goodie bags & an array of refreshments, and provided a beautiful moment of connection as families and caregivers had the chance to network, build relationships, and grow together as a community.

At Garden of Knowledge, we make learning hands-on, engaging, and rooted in real-life experiences—one workshop at a time.

This workshop, Planting Seeds for Financial Success, is an in-person experience where families will explore easy tips and simple steps to grow money smarts together. Through hands-on activities, games, and real-life examples, we’ll introduce age-appropriate concepts like saving, spending wisely, sharing, and setting goals. Children ages 2-8 years old are welcomed, and parents/guardians must attend as well.
