At KoKo NYC, we believe that all kids are natural inventors. We empower kids to explore their own ideas to build worlds of their own making.

In our workshops, kids explore the intersection of engineering, art and sustainability, learning to take risks, collaborate, and problem solve.

If your kids have participated in a KoKo workshop, or you’ve attended any of our events, odds are you are familiar with Freddy Poey. (Also known as Mr. Mustache.)

At the Awards Benefit, Freddy was honored as one of five of the city's most innovative and effective afterschool educators. You can watch his inspiring speech here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qezs4cJB7M.

We couldn't be more proud. Rock on, Mr. Mustache!

This Teacher Appreciation Week we are especially grateful to have such a passionate and creative group guiding our kids through problem-solving, risk-taking, and discovery.
