Our little learners were introduced to “Not A Box” 📦 in performing arts! The curriculum emerged into a month long, school wide collaboration: building a box city! Complete with windows, tunnels, chimneys, and decorative details, every student in our school added to (and joyfully played in) this awesome structure! Mini-golf, which emerged as an interest in the Blue Gummies classroom, has expanded to a school wide interest! Each of our classes had the opportunity to help create a putt-putt green, contributing to the design and decor of each! Through the week, our classes will take turns visiting CHPs very own mini golf course! ⛳️

At CHP, our students are continuing to explore light and dark! In studio arts, all of our classes had the opportunity to use neon oil pastels and water color paints on a large mural. Then, they got to see how the neon colors interacted with blue light from the projector, and layer on even more to their vibrant collective creations! Swipe through to see some of our kids in process, and to see what the art looks like without the blue light on!

It’s Election Day! Our CHP students engaged with the democratic process of voting to mark the occasion! For the past few weeks, our little learners have had the opportunity to listen to “Pete the Cat” and “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus”. Today- each student cast a vote to determine group consensus: Which book do we like more? Our 4 year olds were the ballot counters (with hep from Elise!) Swipe through to see which book won!
