The best day of the year. It was an honor to celebrate Kingsborough’s 60th Commencement and the Class of 2025 with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, CUNY Board of Trustees Vice Chair Sandra Wilkin, Class of 2025 Valedictorian Andres Soto, faculty, staff, the KCC Foundation board, and friends of the college. Congratulations to our amazing graduates and their families. We are incredibly proud of you!

February is Black History Month, a time to honor the significant contributions and rich history of Black people in the United States and around the world.

A very proud moment after watching tostudents deliver their research presentations in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and social sciences, as part of the CUNY Research Scholars Program (CRSP) Winter Presentations. Thank you to all the KCC faculty members who mentored our students throughout their research journey.

As we observe Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and express my gratitude for the dedicated men and women in law enforcement and our Department of Public Safety who work tirelessly to keep our campus and community safe. You are appreciated.

Holiday gifts arrived early for the children enrolled in KCC’s Child Development Center. While their student-parents attended class, it was a joy for the KCC staff and me to present gifts to these youngsters during their Winter Wonderland holiday party. We wish them a bright and promising future. Happy holidays!
