Kingsborough EMT students were put to the test during our Annual Paramedic Simulation Competition, held as part of EMS Week. 🚑🚨

Five teams of students responded to surprise emergency scenarios on campus, including simulated incidents outside the G Building and inside the EMS Simulation Center. With no advance warning of what they would face, students had to rely on their training, teamwork, communication, clinical decision-making, and patient care skills in a realistic emergency response setting.

Events like this help prepare our students for the demands of the field while showcasing the strength of Kingsborough’s EMS program.

This Earth Day, Kingsborough held its first seawall cleanup, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to remove pollution and debris that had washed ashore along our shoreline.

A special thank-you to Marty Fatooh, Manhattan Borough Commissioner at NYC Water, Terri Carta, Executive Director of Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, and all of the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy members who joined us in this effort.

We’re grateful for their support and are proud to do our part in keeping our shoreline, our community, and our planet healthy and beautiful. 🌎💙

Whether she’s greeting students at the front gate, cheering our teams on as they head to nationals, or celebrating with us at commencement, President Duitch has been leading with care, dedication, and purpose every step of the way.

Across campus and throughout our community, her leadership reflects a deep commitment to Kingsborough’s future.
As we look ahead to her investiture on May 7, we’re highlighting some of the moments that have defined her presidency so far.

An investiture is an historic ceremony that officially confers the authority of a new college president — a public transfer of the Presidential Medallion, the title, and the weight of the role. On May 7, CUNY will hold this ceremony at Kingsborough, continuing a decades-long tradition as Dr. Suri Duitch is formally installed as the College’s eighth president. The event marks President Duitch’s acceptance of the role and of the responsibility of building on Kingsborough’s legacy as a beacon of equity and upward mobility, in Brooklyn, for all New Yorkers. We look forward to the future of Kingsborough under her leadership!
